Requirements

macOS 11 Big Sur or later

Universal binary — runs natively on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

Accessibility permission

Required for the global hotkey and to type into other apps. macOS prompts on first run; you grant it once in System Settings.

Microphone

Built-in mic, USB, or Bluetooth headset. Standard Core Audio capture.

Internet connection

Transcription runs on dedicated servers and returns in under 700 ms. No model to download.
